Diving Alumni of Lubbock Dive Club, Southern Illinois University, Carbondale 2013, Coronado High School 2009, and Irons Jr. High. I am 32 years old; Penny DiPomazio and Holly Lambert were my Lubbock coaches. Diving experience of 10+ years. Coaching experience of about 4+years, probably much more but it has been on off since college. My current job has its busy days on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I try to make it in when I physically can. I truly love coaching and mentoring these kids to help break mental barriers. I have been in their spot; I remember standing on the board crying and all the busts and bruises. But I also remember all the fun and excitement and the satisfaction of learning or performing a great dive. Diving has been my life since the age of 13. Tried out for the swim team but instead made the dive team.I went home crying that day, little did I know diving would become my passion. It shaped me in life and gave me a work hard mentality. I currently work for Abbott Electrophysiology as a heart mapper for cardiac arrhythmias. I have been working in electrophysiology for about 7 years now. My main location is in San Angelo and why it is hard for me to make it to most practices. But I love diving and all the kids so much that I truly try to make it every chance I get.I hope to get to know all the parents and the kids as much as I can! If you see me, please stop me and chat!
As a Lubbock native, I am a proud product of Lubbock Dive Club. I continue to serve and support the community of Lubbock as a department manager. As a result of my time as a Lubbock Dive Club athlete, I was an AAU National champion on 1M and 3M springboard. My diving career started in 7th grade at Ed Irons Middle School. I continued on to set records at Coronado High School while being a two time state qualifier and high school All-American in addition to being team captain. I furthered my diving career at Texas A&M University where I dove for four years, led the team as Captain, and was a three time NCAA Zones qualifier.
